Constitutional Court of Georgia was founded in 1996 according to the Constitution of Georgia adopted in 1994. It was given the power to abolish the laws and legal acts which were in contradiction with the Constitution of Georgia. One of the Partners, Mr Gia Getsadze was actively involved in the process of drafting the Law on Constitutional Court of Georgia and since the creation of the Constitutional Court worked as the Senior Assistant of the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia.

Up to now the Constitutional Court of Georgia was located in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia. Since January 1 2007 it will continue its activities in Batumi, Georgia.

According to Georgian legislation, apart from different state agencies, individuals and legal persons (companies) can also apply to the Constitutional Court of Georgia.
